We really missed you, Old Lady!

After an extensive refurbishment, our steam locomotive No. 2 from 1890 is finally back home. She can't wait to puff along the route from Capolago to the summit of Monte Generoso again. Four dates have already been set on the 2025 calendar, between July and August.

Travel Schedule

• Departure from Capolago: 10:05 AM, arrival at the summit at 11:45 AM
• Departure from the Summit: 3:15 PM, arrival in Capolago at 4:30 PM

The novelty for lovers of historical travel is that from this year, the steam train + lunch at the Self-Service package will be available for purchase online.

Ticket Prices
🚂 Train Only:

• Adults: CHF 80
• Children (6-15 years): CHF 50

🍽️ Steam Train + Lunch at Self-Service Package:

• Adults: CHF 95
• Children (6-15 years): CHF 65
• In addition to the journey, the package includes: 1 dish of choice from the buffet (*) + 1 drink + 1 espresso coffee *excluding "à la minute" prepared dishes

Group Experiences

It is possible to organize exclusive trips for groups, including evening rides:

• Departure from Capolago: 5:45 PM, arrival at the summit at 7:15 PM
• Departure from the Summit: 10:00 PM, arrival in Capolago at 11:30 PM
